Pei-Wen Huang-Shea Bio

Pei-Wen Huang-Shea is a set and costume designer base in New York City. From Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, Pei-Wen’s works have been seen in New York since 2005. Pei-Wen is a Friars Club Scholarship and Frances Black Prize in Drama Recipient. While her design career is her main focus, she is also the director of 2012 FringeNYC FringeAL FRESCO and working on many other theater related positions. She was awarded the KCACTF Merit for Set Design for The Pearlfisher (U.S Premiere). Recent works include Off-Broadway:  Alice in Wonderland, Sleepy Hollow, Comfort Women-A New Musical, A Christmas Carol, and Cinderella. New York City: Casterbridge, The Party Play, The Cherry Orchard. A Bright Room Called Day (Jack Cunningham Scenery Design Award); Eurydice; The Violet Hours (Rebecca Cunningham Costume Design Award) and more. She received her MFA in Theatrical Design from Brooklyn College, CUNY. Pei-Wen is an adjunct Faculty at Brooklyn College.
